Day 8: A Day at the Border and the Boardwalk Ava Schwartz

We started off today bright and early as we walked through the bunkers where the Yom Kippur War broke out. We saw the beautiful view of the Syrian border and heard the solemn stories of soldiers who died protecting Israel. After that, we went to the Talmudic city of Katzrin where we saw an ancient shul, made pita bread and stepped on grapes with our feet to make grape juice! We then made our way to the Kineret, saw hot springs, and went to an ancient shul to learn. We walked to the Kineret where we enjoyed a refreshing swim followed by shopping on the boardwalk and a boat cruise. The boat was filled with singing, dancing and a lot of ruach. We ended our long day with a delicious meat dinner from a restaurant nearby. Today was one of the most fun, inspirational days yet!
